Life is a journey. I'm looking for an authentic sense of place, for authentic experiences of food, culture, history, nature. I hope that you find something here that's interesting and useful on your journey.

A Wider Conversation

A Wider Conversation

I have been focused mostly on travel but, with travel limited or nonexistent and other forms of discussion severely curtailed by Facebook, I’m taking this conversation wider, encompassing more of my interests.

My primary work is as a musician - a church music director, organist and (pre-COVID) choir director. I’ve worked for forty years as a teacher - a private music teacher, a public school music teacher in pre-K through 12, and as a community support person for young adults with disabilities. I’m fascinated by teaching, learning and the creative process, and you’ll see much more of that here. I hope that you’ll find it interesting.

The initial thought for “Conversations At The Wienerburger Diner” was really a novel - which might yet happen - sort of a fantasy biographical novel about a woman who buys, rehabs and runs a charming old diner where locals and travelers come and have conversations about life. The blog is now sort of headed in that direction, conversations (please join!) or musings about everyday life. Where will it go? I really don’t know - and I love that.
